Default Looking for people to KILL GLINT, June 18th.

I am looking for people who would like to kill Glint for the Dragon's Lair bonus mission. Preferably people who are past the end of game and have thier best armor/gear. I've tried this battle a lot, but always end up the only one alive after a minute or two of fighting her.

So. My in game name is Doki Waku. I am a Ranger/Monk with good gear & lots of interupts. In my opionion, DoTs and interupts are the real key to winning this fight. I'd like anyone that can make it to bring all the interupts they can along.

I would like to give this a try any time Saturday. I can be on any time after 10am EST (-5 GMT) for certain.

Post here with your class & in game name if you would like to join up!

I'll do my best to be on. In-game is Butch Daddy and I'm a R/E. I beat Glint in a group of 4 the first time through primarily with distraction shot and poison while the others did the equivalent. This time through I'll have poison, melandru's arrows and also choking gas to go with concussion shot and distracting shot. So far it's worked well against most enemies except those without flesh.

GLint is a peice of cake if you bring a Mesmer who can deplete her of energy.

One of my alts is a Mesmer and would you beleive it...I explained to the groups forming how important Mesmers are against a casting mob boss and yet...after 2 hours of looking for a group and not getting one invite, I signed off.

*shrugs*

People would rather take my Warrior primary when there are 3 other warriors already in the group against a caster boss rather than my Mesmer. Sometimes you really have to pinch yourself to understand how clueless most people who play the game are.

N/E with Enfeeble, Shadow of Fear, Grenth's Balance (or Spitefull Spirit). Can render the Dragon harmless with weakness and slower attack rate, sacrifice health then steal up to 150 every 10 seconds, or so. Elthin Averas is my ingame name!

Yay for lots of interest.

Glint uses a couple Glint only spells. One causes all elemental damage to to HEAL her for that amount instead of damaging her. The other one pretty much locks down the MP of anyone in the AOE for too damn long.

It could just be me, but it feels like Glint was somewhat nerfed in the most recent patch. Anyhow, I will look everyone up Friday night or Saturday morning. I'll be at work until then :/

See you all soon!

Glint has a few nasty spells, one causes exhaustion in any class when you use skills this is usually the first one she will fire off the effect stacks so it can quickly take out spell casters if they aren't paying attention, the other called Crystal Hibernation has a long cast time but pretty much puts her at high regen and spell damage will heal her so an interrupter is definitely needed when she casts this. The other attacks are a melee claw swipe and a heat seeking fireball attack, just make sure the tanks keep her focused the fireballs hurt a fair bit.

I would be interested to finish this bonus. I am a mesmar and would bring skills to suck her dry of energy and backfire which I love...(when casting a spell caster takes 101 damage)

Interupts and wonderful DoTs seem to be the way to go! I'm thinking it's better to just have the warriors do what they can to kite her & keep people spread out as much as possible. Usually warriors try to kite her and drop after about 10 seconds. I can interupt her pretty consitantly on my own, so having a mez along geared towards energy drain & additional interupts would help. Warriors could focus on bleeding damage, & I could bring in poison arrows & maybe land a cripple trap or 16 second throw dirt blind (though it never seems to last that long)

Really though just having a full team of people tweaked out should suffice.

I'm keeping track of everyone here & will try contacting everyone Saturday afternoon. See you soon!

Her last spell is a hex called Crystal Bonds, which is a run debuff, single disenchant, and prevents new enchantments from being cast on the target.

Grenth's Balance is more interesting than I thought it would be. Even if you're fully healed, it still damages up to your maximum health anyway.
